The Little Aussie Bakery & Cafe

We are making a ‘quick trip’ to San Antonio. For those of you from Texas you know a 300+ mile, 4.5 hour drive, staying one night IS a quick trip!  We will be going to The Little Aussie Bakery and Cafe.

Gluten Free Bread, Gluten Free Cookies, 100% Gluten Free, The Little Aussie Bakery & Cafe.

This will be our second time there. My son Brian and his family told us about it, after they had gone a few times. Another friend Lisa was surprised we had not heard of it.

This bakery, that makes cakes, cookies, bread, eclairs, pizza, is completely absoluetly gluten free. EVERYTHING is baked goods with a crust or a dough AND you can make online orders!!!!!!

Our first time there was Pizza night, Friday.  They are open only at nights on Friday and Saturday. The rest of the week they close at 5.  We had pizza and GLUTEN FREE BEER , a restaurant.  It was absolutely amazing!!

This trip, pizza at lunch Friday and probably a dozen pizza crusts, a couple of cakes, dozens of rolls, many loaves of bread, cranberry bread and eclairs, and may try some hamburger buns this time.  Much is coming home to the kids.  The pizza crust has the same texture and taste as Pizza Hut deep dish, especially if you melt some butter in the bottem of the pan as you bake it.

I have a tendency to be jealous of bakers who are better than I, and will not pass on info because of my green eyes. But I can not  not tell EVERYONE about Little Aussie, it would be too cruel.  I am not a bread baker anyway, I just don’t have the touch.  Personally, I think my cakes are a bit moister, the cake itself- Aussie though does make up for the moistness by adding ICING and more ICING.  They do not ship their cakes anyway, so there ;).

I totally recommend ordering from Little Aussie, you will not be disappointed!!

The website is great also. They have an info tab, with hints and tricks to GF cooking!!
